Waking Up In Paris

Hellooo! Welcome back my little peaches, shall I call you that from now on? Maybe you could come up with a creative and sweet name yourselves, let me know in the comments :) I hope you have all had an eggcellent easter, (see what I did there) or spring-break if you live in the USA. I have ate what feels like mountains of chocolate, that I could just explode and it would create a work of art with chocolate splatered from one end of the canvas to the other! :D I've had a pretty epic Easter to be honest but I am nowhere near emotionally ready to go back and face the last term of school and exams, my body clock has gone haywire! I am convinced it is all because of my trip-of-a-lifetime to Paris with my school entailing late nights and goodness me, early mornings. Paris is a delightful city with breathtaking views and Victorian architecture, I fell in love the minute I set foot on its surface. I could ramble on all day about how it stole my heart but I think I might just treat you to some snapshots to see for yourself. Sit back and relax, (grab a cuppa if you need to), beacause it's gonna be a long ride. Enjoy! :)

                      And......we have lift-off!

Upon or arrival we hopped onto our coach we had for our four-day stay and had a little trip into the city to meet our guide who pointed out the most famous sights of the wonderful city of Paris.

    La Petit Palais.

The majestic door of La Grand Palais.

I felt right at home with these 'Dublin' bicycles.

Hands up if you spot Louis Vuitton! ;)

Later in the day when we were fully prepped tourists with all of our information on the big city, we went for a bite to eat in Pizza Vesuvio located on the Champs D'Elysee.

I had a scrumptious margarita cheese pizza topped with ham and mushrooms. Surprisingly enough, it was delicious but I just about finished it. I think my eyes were bigger than my stomach!

On day 2 we made a trip to the most famous museum in the world, the Louvre Museum. When I walked in it felt like being in a majestic world full of amazing and breathtaking art pieces and sculptures. If you have a niche for art (not that I do but I am always facinated by how works of art are created) I highly recommend putting a visit to the Louvre on the ole bucket list, (maybe a few times as apparently it would take you three years to see the whole thing if you spent one minute looking at each piece - shocking, I know right!)

The pyramid upside down, because I wasn't so lucky to take a peak outside and lay my eyes on the illustrious pyramid right side up.

Big Foot has made a return ;)

Loved this cute little guy, my favourite sculpture out of what I've seen. I've named him Johnny hehe!

I took a photo of this but I have absolutely no idea what it says. Any of you guy's speak French and want to help me out?!

The view from a Louvre window looking out onto the other side.

Hello Ms Mona Lisa ;) (sorry for the appalling quality-it was taking from within a crowd of people).

Next stop........

Sorry about the typo :D (*Tour not tower)

There's all 51 of us beautiful children on tour together before we head up the Eiffel Tower and have a peak around. I have never walked down so many steps in my life!

The view from the second floor of the Eiffel Tower, unfortunately it was too windy to go all the way to the top #typical.

Now we are on to the most exciting part of the entire tour, DISNEYLAND!!! It was the most magical place I have ever been to, full of Fairies and Princesses, Disney Characters and castles. I really did release my inner child that day and even braved up to a few rollercoaster's ;) And the best part was, it all happened with my best friends :)

Teacup selfie with my bezzie, Ailish <3

This was the pathway we took into a little maze but couldn't get out of it, haha.

This ladybird witch was actually quite scary! She grunted at you in French every time you walked passed her, which happened us alot as we couldn't find our way out of the damn maze :D

A cheeky wanky mirror selfie whislt we continue going around in circles ;)

At least there was a lovely cup of tea waiting for us when we finally escaped the scary ladybird witch.

This was our place of dining, VIP style ;)

Couldn't leave Disney without picking up a few bits and bobs in the Disney Store.

Unfortunately, we have landed at the last part of the journey, a trip to the Montmarte - a beautifully picturesque area with small winding streets full of small cafés, bars and portrait painters, and a visit to the Sacré-Coeur basilica which is famous for its white pastry like architecture dominating the city.

The Irish are represented gach áit! (everywhere), and our drinking habit too ;)

The Sacré-Coeur.

Some beautiful mugshots with a few photo-bombers!

An edible Arc de Triomphe!

Macarooooons!

We did make a visit to the actual Arc de Triomphe, spectacular architecture.

Right next to the Arc de Triomphe there is a memorial flame continuously lighting, hail, rain or shine, remembering the unnamed soldiers who died in World War 1.

Say cheeeeese! #bezzies

I'll just give you a few minutes to take in our dashing selfies ;)

My few goodies I landed home with :)

And so there it is, a guide through the best school tour I've had in my sixteen years of being in this world. There was laughter and tears, the craic was had and memories were made and I couldn't have done it with better people. After all them late nights and early mornings I was absolutely shattered though, it took me a week of lie-ins to get over it. Au revoir Paris, merci.
(Just a little note - in case you are not familiar with Irish slang, I am referring to 'having fun and a laugh' when I say 'craic').

Thank you for reading,
Samantha x
