Wow! Okay here we go. I can't believe I've actually written my first blog post. It has taken me a looong time to finally pluck up the courage and am I glad I did?! I guess I was always worried about not being good enough or people not liking it and making fun of me and my new hobby but do you know what, it is my blog and I am going to make the most of it in my own somewhat unique way. I have always had a very strong interest in books, magazines and media of all sorts and I have always wanted to get behind the scenes of those things which is what I hope to do later in life.

There's not a lot to tell about me to be honest. I am just a quite little country girl from the west of Ireland (living in the back end of no-where!) with kind, loving, supportive parents and the best brother you could ask for, although we do have the ole row now and again (who doesn't) ;)

My life started off pretty ordinary like most children, growing up watching cartoons, playing with my dolls for hours on end, starting school, reading books until I went cross-eyed, experimenting with hair and make-up and all of that jazz. Speaking of school, I wasn't the happiest child in the classroom since I was such a Mammys girl and wouldn't go anywhere without her. I soon grew out of that and begun to enjoy school life - making fabulous friends and creating amazing memories and moving on to secondary school where I am now 16 years later :) With all these stresses and strains of the Leaving Cert course I would do anything to go back to my primary school days but all I have to do is think about the amazing future ahead of me and everything suddenly seems okay. I'm sorry if my life seems a tad bit depressing, it really isn't to be honest, I have the best life ever (without sounding cheesy), I am so grateful for everything in my life especially my amazing family and friends and even at this stage I've learned some valuable lessons and I couldn't be happier right now.

Okay, this is starting to sound like a soppy diary entry so I'll leave you with that little background story of my life. My next blog post is going to be a happy one ;) Since I am just starting out I will be updating my blog once a month maybe even twice a month I'm not sure yet (I have a busy life, hehe) and I will be blogging about lots more interesting topics.
